Connect OKX with a read-only API Key

This guide is for a regular OKX account using a manually created API Key. It takes about five minutes.

Use the official OKX app or website:

  • OKX app: Sign in → open the main menu → APICreate API key.
  • OKX website: Sign in → open your profile → API and connectionsCreate API key.

If OKX does not let you create a key, complete the requested identity and security checks first. Some regional account versions may also apply an asset threshold.

Use these values as a guide:

OKX field Recommended setting
API key name TickPro
Purpose / Used for Manually created personal API access
IP allowlist Only enter an address explicitly shown by TickPro
Passphrase Create a new API passphrase and save it
Permissions Read only

Complete the OKX security verification and create the key.

OKX shows three separate values. Keep the creation page open until all three have been saved:

  • API Key
  • Secret Key
  • Passphrase
Where each OKX value goes in TickPro
OKX API KeyTickPro API Key
OKX Secret KeyTickPro Secret Key
OKX PassphraseTickPro Passphrase
  1. Open TickPro → Settings → OKX.
  2. Tap Add a new OKX account.
  3. Select the API Key tab.
  4. Enter the API Key, Secret Key, and Passphrase.
  5. Tap Validate API Key.
  6. When validation succeeds, tap Save and connect.

TickPro asks OKX for the key’s actual permissions. A key with trading or withdrawal access cannot be saved.

Message or symptom What to check
Invalid passphrase / 50105 Use the API Passphrase, not your OKX login password
IP restriction / 50110 Remove an incorrect allowlist or use the server IP shown by TickPro
Invalid API Key / 50111 Copy the full API Key and check that the key still exists
Invalid signature / 50113 Recopy the Secret Key without spaces
Region restriction / 50119 Create the key in the OKX entity that serves your account region
Permission validation failed Leave only Read enabled

After changing permissions or IP restrictions in OKX, return to TickPro and validate again.

Open OKX → API / API and connections, find the TickPro key, and delete it. You can also remove the connected account from TickPro.
